Mainland Service Expansion Planning
Severely damaged by Hurricane Ike, the original teaching hospital for the University of Texas needed to enhance emergency preparedness by developing operations on the Texas mainland. Mr. Robb guided the planning and development for expansion of Health System services on the mainland including:
- Coordination of UTMB Health System Client User Groups/UTMB Facilities Operations and Planning/UT OFPC facility planning and approval process
- Operations planning for 142,000 GSF/$82 million facility expansion
- Creation of bidding documents for mainland expansion project

Strategic Facility Master Plan / BSL III Laboratory Development
TSi staff developed a master plan for the current 20-acre campus that included locating a new BSL III facility as an integral part of phased growth for all laboratory operations. TSi staff supported a “fast track” construction of the BSL III facility as a laboratory design consultant to the local Architect and Engineer. In addition, TSi staff consulted with laboratory administration to plan equipment for the BSL III facility.

New Cancer Research Institute Development Planning
A new cancer research center in the western US aspires to rank among the top cancer centers in the world and achieve NCI comprehensive cancer center designation as quickly as possible. TSi staff assisted Senior administration, research faculty, and staff with the completion Strategic Facility Master Plan that includes: cancer specialty, innovative treatment technologies, clinics, and research laboratories.
